I'm not as awesome as this songs make out
I'm just a guy with his guitar playing loud
I couldn't walk I couldn't talk
somehow I found the words to tell you this
we never loved our own songs
we always cheered to other ones
but we kept them playing
night for night
and they got better every time
so we play solos to save the time
for the words we never write
but somehow the people loved what we are doing
so keep on
I never understand the poets we read in class
but I always understand the lyrics of my favorite songs
so I decided to take my guitar and write my own songs to come that far
we learned loved our own songs
but we still cheer to other ones
but we kept them playing
night for night
and they get better every time

so I decided to take my guitar

as you would recognize me anyway

another song for you
just trying to get laid
but somehow it didn't work out
and I realize that all I need
is a girl that really cares about me
when I was sixteen I couldn't deny
that I always try to find
a girl that's innocent to fall for my singing
now I'm in my twenties and I realize
that all my singing is just a lie
to you and to my self
and though I'm not the honest type
and though I'm not the perfect guy
you should have given me a chance
at least one fucking simple chance
to dance with you for one single time
